" Education is not the answer to the question. Education is the means to the answer to all questions." - William Allin

 WELCOME TO MY E-PORTFOLIO.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that all children have the ability to learn and the right to a quality education. All youths, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, and capabilities should have the opportunity to learn from professional, well-informed teachers who are sophisticated and knowledgeable, both in their area of expertise and life. Certainly, every child has different learning styles and aptitudes; however, by having a personal relationship with every student, a teacher can give each an equal chance of success. By recognizing every student's potential and having separate, individual goals for each, a teacher can accommodate personal needs and abilities and encourage the pursuit of academic aspirations.
I have three main statement that can described my philosophy of education that can described . First, education is about the desire to learn, not the obligation. The process of learning should be pleasurable, interesting, and helpful. Learning should not only be limited to schools. It should teach students should understand how to pursue, value, and love knowledge (or wisdom) and enjoy learning. Students would like to construct their own knowledge through understanding via gathering data, exploring the truth, analyzing the information, and making decision for their own learning.Second, education is a life-long learning process, which is indispensable. What students learn in schools is not enough to prepare for practical living. Students should be able to organize, understand, and apply what they learn in order to deal with the complex and diverse questions of their daily life. They should have the abilities to know how to use what they have learned and to continue to learn and create "new" knowledge to solve problems they meet when they leave schools. Finally, education is life. Education supports life; life (experience) connects to education. Students need to be educated to become a modern citizen for the needs a society. They also use their life experience in their learning. Hence, they need to think critically and solve problems independently.
I think that teaching and learning are a reciprocal processes. When teachers nurture individual talents in each child, educators can build self-esteem and may encourage a lifelong skill. By supporting these special abilities, teachers can, for example, guide students' research, and students can, in turn, enlighten teachers about subjects in which they may not be as knowledgebale. This mutual respect for individual skills cultivates a professional academic relationship, leading to a give-and-take educational alliance. This liaison allows students to feel that they are on equal intellectual ground with their teachers, thus creating a strong academic atmosphere.

In addition to having a reciprocal relationship with one's students, it is vitally important for teachers to form partnerships with fellow educators. Solid communication among teachers will promote the sharing of ideas and methods and provide a network of support. By working as an educational team, teachers will continue to develop their craft and give the best education possible to their students.

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
Teacher can used a chart to check the performance of his/her students in doing activities.

USING PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE IN DESIGNING INSTRUCTION

Nowadays, teachers prefer to use technology in a right way in order to help learners to become active and  to think critically. There are so many application used by the teachers to gathered information that can answer some question that may arise and learned about this ,then teacher explain how to do that in able to the students explore and think with a higher order.
Observing the method of teaching in the past year compare this 21st century. It evolves to make it the method of teaching easier. In this evolving method of teaching there are some technology arise or invented in order to make teacher and students easy to come up with the hard questions that come in their mind.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE

1.)TRADITIONAL METHOD OF TEACHING IN MATHEMATICS

-Teacher discussed very well the lesson on the board step by step process.

then after that they give board work  that answered by the students.

2.)Using calculator to solve a problem

3.)Using power-point presentation in discussion

4.)they have their own gadgets to come up with the lesson

5.)class discussion through online discussion

UNDERSTANDING OF MATH EDUCATION THEORY AND LITERATURE

If the teacher reflect on their classroom practice therefore teacher create their own teaching and thinking how to solve or answer some questions that related to that learners capability. Think also the implications that affect learner's.
Here are the website that may prefer in better understanding of the teacher and students.

MATHMAGICS

In lower year we do the mathmagics to solve a given problems.Students enjoy a lot and curiosity occur but they have a purpose of this mathmagic not for fun only but also to learn more in a way that you enjoyed and easy adapt some knowledge. This mathmagic is enjoyed if the teacher and students are in good interaction and if there are possibility of difficulties teacher and students help each other to answer it. Mathematics is not only for the school but also in our everyday living.

GENERALIZATION:

Teaching is getting effective if we apply we must go with the flow in using of technology. Using technology can easy do the hard things in a fast way and knowing the performance of students unlike in doing boardwork why not using technology. We save time and effort. We can't deny that technology help us in our learning capability not only for that but also to our daily living.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.
When the teacher's role is to guide, providing access to information rather than acting as the primary source of information, the students' search for knowledge is met as they learn to find answers to their questions. For students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in authentic situations. Providing students access to hands-on activities and allowing adequate time and space to use materials that reinforce the lesson being studied creates an opportunity for individual discovery and construction of knowledge to occur.
Equally important to self-discovery is having the opportunity to study things that are meaningful and relevant to one's life and interests. Developing a curriculum around student interests fosters intrinsic motivation and stimulates the passion to learn. One way to take learning in a direction relevant to student interest is to invite student dialogue about the lessons and units of study. Given the opportunity for input, students generate ideas and set goals that make for much richer activities than I could have created or imagined myself. When students have ownership in the curriculum, they are motivated to work hard and master the skills necessary to reach their goals.
Helping students to develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others, and their environment occurs through an open sharing of ideas and a judicious approach to discipline. When the voice of each student is heard, and environment evolves where students feel free to express themselves. Class meetings are one way to encourage such dialogue. I believe children have greater respect for their teachers, their peers, and the lessons presented when they feel safe and sure of what is expected of them. In setting fair and consistent rules initially and stating the importance of every activity, students are shown respect for their presence and time. In turn they learn to respect themselves, others, and their environment.
For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best educator that I can be.
